The Happiest Things in Life

Sometimes they’re simple little unexpected things.

It feel so good to have him home and sleeping next to me again.

Today’s Thrifting has been good

Today I stopped by a local goodwill while killing some time, and wound up finding a Le Creuset 11” Enameled cast iron skillet for 10$, a calphalon 8” Omelette pan for 3$, and a little pelican i1015 case for 1$.

I bought a new laptop

I decided to buy a new laptop, I found what I thought was a great deal on an HP G42 14” Laptop with a 5 in 1 reader, and a 2.9ghz dual core processor. Well, after a snafu with the payment and shipping, I finally got it today, I was very excited, took it out of it’s box, and installed Windows XP Pro sp3 on it. When it booted up I knew something was off. Well, it was running for some reason at less than half speed, which really sucked, and the memory was being wonky. So I decided to reseat the memory and see if that helped. Well, it dropped my memory to half, and dropped the processor down to 780mhz. This… was not good. So I decided to take it apart and see if I could fix it, and I managed to get it completely apart and back together. Everything worked, and went back together smoothly, but the processor still was clocking 780mhz. Sooo… I am going to try and nuke the drive install a clean OS, and see where that takes me. Worst case, I take about a 100$ hit on this, and try to buy a new new laptop and hope it all turns out better than this.

I made bread

I made my first Boules of Homemade bread, that is all.

I have been working on a display piece for school for about two weeks now, and building my own backing and frame for it. The backing took bearly any time to make, but the frame has taken now 3 days, and Im only half done with it. Though when I am done I believe this piece will look exactly how I’d hoped.
